The Hot and the Cold of It!

Now THIS was almost a home run! šš¾
The sweet tea-brined fried chicken and fries? Succulent, crispy, flavorful and straight-up lip smackinā good!Ā š It came with a side of jalapeƱo honeyĀ for a little sweet heat...if thatās your jam. As for me? Hold the peppers, please!Ā šš¶ļøš«
Then came the scallops with broccoli, and they absolutely held their own. Tender, beautifully cooked and every bit as succulent as the chicken. The kitchen definitely understood the assignment!
But that Amaretto Sour? Whew. š³ Two thumbs DOWN. šš¾šš¾ I ordered a simple classic and somehow ended up with something that tasted like rubbing alcohol with a garnish.Ā š Water had to come off the bench and save the day! š§
Thankfully, the beautiful ambiance and wonderful service towered over that missed mix. The atmosphere made it easy to forgive the drink mishap and enjoy the evening.
Final verdict:Ā The cocktail fumbled, but the food, service and atmosphere scored! š Iāll definitely be back for Round 2ā¦ but next time, I may stick with the water. šš½ļø

Next up on our food adventure was Melt & Dip, and baby, this was an over-the-fence, out-of-the-park treat!Ā ā¾ļøšš¾
Ferrero Rocher gelato?!Ā Whoād have thunk it?! And dare I say itā¦ it was better than the candy itself!Ā Creamy, chocolatey, hazelnutty goodness in every bite. š
Never have I ever eaten THAT much of a sweet treat after dinner. I kept telling myself I was doneā¦and somehow the spoon kept finding its way back to the bowl. š By the end, that bowl was SCRAPED!Ā Not a drop of evidence left behind.
This creamery is definitely worth a repeat dip!Ā šØ And I already know what Iāve got my eye on for the next trip, baby, that Nutella Fruit SaladĀ is calling my name. šššš«
