Creating a compelling website is a challenging yet rewarding endeavor. If you're not familiar with web design principles, it can seem overwhelming. However, the right approach can make your website stand out. Whether you're new to the scene or looking to breathe new life into your existing site, these essential tips will help guide you through the fundamental elements of effective web design.
My classmate Chelsey A. and I quickly selected the above topic as the subject of our presentation. I was a little familiar with writing about Web Design Guidelines as I've had to present it before. However, this time is a little different as we have to do it as a team. We quickly came up with a plan to divide and conquer. Our presentation has to consume fifteen to twenty minutes of time. That doesn't seem daunting at all. Well, throw in the fact that we are thousands of miles away from each other and that this is an online class and perspective changes. We both have jobs and families that we also have to work around in order to make this work.
Understand User Experience (UX)
User experience is the backbone of every great project. Think about how online partners will need to navigate the project. The journey should be seamless, from landing on the topic to finding the necessary information. A clear, intuitive plan can significantly reduce friction rates and decrease the time it takes to finish the job.
To enhance UX, create a logical flow of information. Ensure that every link is easy to find and use. For example, sharing your knowledge base links, makes for a smoother experience.
Use a timeline to structure your information. This approach makes content easier to digest and helps keep the workload manageable. The inclusion of breaks can also serve as a helpful operational tool, letting your partner know you care about their mental and physical well being.

Make It Research-Friendly
Today, research accounts for over 50% of global internet traffic. It's vital to the design of your presentation. A properly researched topic guarantees a smooth experience and assures good grades.
Make sure that the research presented is something both parties can access and become familiar with. For instance, I have logged and cited the websites I've researched on the topic and shared that information with my partner. Additionally, ensure your partner shares their information with you in a timely fashion. Who knows? Your research may cross contaminate, offering a double benefit.

Focus on The Finish
Completion speed is crucial for partner and professor satisfaction. Research shows that when projects are turned in with no time to spare, there is little chance of having a critique made with an opportunity to readjust. To combat this issue, optimize your timing and plan to finish a couple of days early. Aim for 2 versions of the same project whenever possible.
Additionally, minimize requests for special software and editing and use the most efficient delivery method to accelerate your projects completion. Faster results equal happier students. Why? Because you've just freed up enough time to grab a sandwich before you move on to the next project.

Bring It All Together
Navigating the world of online partner projects may seem overwhelming, but by following these straightforward tips, you can create a project that is visually appealing, partner-friendly, and an optimized experience to receive the best grade. Remember, good partner projects focus on providing an enjoyable experience for you both. By keeping things simple, engaging, and informative, your partnership will not only encourage loyalty but you may make a life long, or at least a semester's long friend. Start applying these tips today and watch your project thrive!
